SUMMER LESSONS

Summer is almost here.  End of year standarized tests are over, and you can watch your student's learning level shut down - even for students who are very motivated.

One strategy is to consider tutoring over the summer.  You can address any areas that caused confusion, or get a head start on the fall.  A great way to improve results is to introduce new topics in the summer, so the student is already familiar with the topic when the teacher is introducing the concept later.

Summer tutoring can even help when students take "dual credit" courses over the summer. Also, with summer tutoring you have more flexibility of lessons the whole day.  During the school year weekday lessons are only practical from 4-8pm, and have conflicts with extracurricular events like music and sports.

Hiring a tutor over the summer is an efficient, targeted way to prevent learning loss, repair gaps, accelerate progress, build confidence, and prepare for future coursework and tests. Summer tutoring pays off during the school year and beyond.

To ask about summer tutoring, drop me an EMAIL.  Tell me what you're looking for, and your contact preference.  I'll do my best to help you, or I'll try to hook you up with someone who might be able to help.
